Throughout the week, Osher children learn about important science concepts through hands-on experiments and related art experimentation opportunities that help reinforce new ideas.

We've watched chrysalis turn into a butterfly, assembled x-rays into complete skeletons, made raisins, microwaved soap, and conducted experiments in floating and sinking.

We've learned about gravity and orbits by pretending to be moons and planets, charted the phases of the moon, planted seeds, and sprouted branches and beans.

The emphasis of the class is on age-appropriate fundamentals, like careful observation, making predictions, testing hypotheses and illustrating results.
